As a Catholic, it’s a great privilege to get the call to do baptism photos – and this family was just fantastic to work with – not to mention the chance to take photos in the beautiful cathedral here in Edmonton. This particular baptism was a private event just for their family, with a lovely little reception afterwards. The most wonderful moment was during the baptism itself, when the little girl started laughing when she felt the water on her head, which made everyone laugh in response – it was a joy to capture it for them to remember. In an exciting twist, the photo at the top is being made into a painting for their family home – I can think of no better honour for more my work.
